wiredhound, and recently gave birth to our first child, CJ. A former public school art teacher, I now spend a lot of time up in my studio sewing things, some of which you can see and purchase at www.redshoegirl.etsy.com
Over the past several months I've discovered that I am more on the crunchy side of the parenting spectrum: breastfeeding, cloth diapering, attachment parenting are all on the agenda. I'm happy to have informed discussions about such topics, and will often give advice in these areas.
I read a lot, both fiction and non, and sit in front of my laptop a lot (which may change dramatically in the near future). I don't post to my journal as often as I could, but I do participate in communities and really read most of my friends' entries.
There is another lj journal for pregnancy and baby related blathering at redshoebaby if you are interested. I do friends-lock many posts for both journals, so comment if you'd like to be added.
